You can delete your Sonar Chat account and the data associated with it at any time.
Deletion is free, available to every user, and does not require giving a reason.

What to do
Open Sonar Chat on your phone.
Go to Settings → Advanced and use Delete account
(or uninstall the app, which removes all locally stored data).
If the option is not available in your app version, or you no longer have access to the device,
email admin@sonarchat.xyz from any address with the
subject Delete account and the username you want deleted. We may ask you to confirm
from the account before processing.

What gets deleted
Your account (username) and its Sonar address.
Undelivered messages stored for that account. Delivered messages exist only on your
device and are removed when the app is uninstalled.
Profile data and contacts stored on the device, removed with the app.

What may be kept, and for how long
Connection logs (IP address and timestamps) are kept only as long as operating the service
requires, and no longer than 30 days.
Nothing else is retained once the account is deleted. There is no archive of your message
content — it is end-to-end encrypted and we never held a copy we could read.
